And here you have three, plus what appears to be a 2x12 and some other cab under them. Pretty damn far from one PJ.

BTW, your MSG clip shows one PJ, and one Marshall SLP with 8 12" speakers.

Didn't notice those, eh?

Here's a clip with a much better view of that rig.

Anyway, the point is that just cause he uses them some at this exact time doesn't mean he's using them exclusively.

I wish I could get away with using a tiny, low wattage amp, but I just can't. Small, low wattage amps don't have the headroom or low end integrity that I like to hear. The smallest ampI can use comfortably live is my SWR Strawberry blonde. It's a 1x10" 80 watt SS amp. It's very clean and has a nice, tight, low end wallop. It sounds great with the tweeter shut off and being fed by a good pre-amp (GT-8 in my case). Otherwise, for me it's got to be at LEAST 50 tube watts and a pair of burly 12" speakers.

I've plugged my 12w L'il Dawg into a 4x12 Marshall slant. It sounded great.

I play SQUEAKY clean about 75% of the time. I need the headroom. Besides, it's easier to carry my 2x12 R100 than a small combo and a 4x12.

The Marshalls are a joke. Those are to hold the PJs up. They have nothing to do with his tone.

He has only used small amps after recording emotion and commotion. In his GP interview he stopped using his Marshalls and his other big amps because "they don't give him the tone he wants."
