Hi folks,
I am disabled so long story short-I can't go any where without help. My brother in law comes once a month to take me out of here and shop for stuff beyond my walking limit. I need to buy the best lubricant for my fender "jeff Beck" 2 pole fulcrum w/roller nut. He is coming tomorrow!!!
So please help me out, as I need to buy a large quantity of lube. Which, in your opinion, is best; crushed graphite in a tube, chap stick, Big bends "nutsauce", 3-1 oil, etc. etc................
Thank you so much,
Gratefully yours,
Steve Buffington

Lube Job, need help quickly, thank you.

The only one of those I'd use on an LSR nut would be the crushed graphite, assuming that it is NOT suspended in any form of oil, grease, or other lubricant. Anything else will just attract and hold dust/dirt/grit which will eventually get worked into the bearing surfaces.

If you need to, the LSR can be disassembled for cleaning, but you need to be careful not to drop anything - those ball bearings are very small.

Thank you, Chris of Arabia.
That makes good sense. In general, I like the LSR better. I think it is a fraction more helpful than a regular professionally cut nut - bone, micarta, corian, what have you.
Steve
