I own a 91' Gibson LP Studio, and im lookin for a new lead pickup. I deal with alot of harmonics, and i want a heavy crunch with a pretty clean tone with high gain. I play anything from blues to metal, im a pretty all around rock guitarist, and i really only use my LP (not much monies). I got a Flextone Duo (for anyone who remembers em) and im not sure which pickup im lookin for. I like the growl of the screamin demon, and the high output mid range of the LWHM. (BTW im a leadguitarst and luv squeals, harmonics, brightness, etc...) :headbang: :banana: :smokin:

well, is high output a good thing for tone and clarity (i was told yes and no, ihav no idea i started shoppin for pups like a month ago) :smack:

High output doesn't not mean better tone/clarity. It just means more output.

If you want metal, the whole metal, and nothing but the metal, get the live wire. If you want to do ANYTHING else, go with the Demon.
