Lyt pedal boards?

Anyone have any experience with Lyt Pedal Boards?

I'm think about getting one of these. This is the only place I've found with all the options I'm looking for. (Hard case with removeable top, riser, place for power supplies, room for large pedals...)

Any experiences, good or bad?

I have no experience with Lyt pedalboards but those are pretty groovy looking.

If I had enough pedals I'd get the LyT24.

What specific pedals are you putting on the 32 anyway?

I've got:

EH chorus > Boss EQ > Boss Flanger > Boss Tremelo > Boss Delay > EH Frequency Analyzer > Loop Master Bypass > BBE Sonic Maximizer > Amp.
Also on this board is the 5 button footswitch for my amp.


I recently just acquired a Mutron III. My current board wont even fit the Mutron. A new board is a must anyways, I'm contantly adding new pedals all the time.

Dude, nycpedalboards is totally like my second choice, lol. As a matter of fact, I'm debating bewteen the two and I'm having a little trouble deciding between these 2, that's why I started the thread about Lyt. I never heard of Lyt either but they do look like great pedal boards. I was hoping to get some good or bad feedback to help me decide.

Do you have any personal experience with the NYC pedal board? If so, tell me all about it.

The NYC and Lyt are basically kind of the same board. Lyt has a small advantage IMO becuz of the case and removable board and the anlged riser vs. NYC's flat riser.

I'm torn... :banghead:

The angled riser is a pretty nice feature, i mist admit. The NYC case is rock solid though so you dont have to worry about that. I had one of there boards for a while before i sold it when i was strapped for cash. What can i say, it was an awesome board. No problems and it took beatings like a champ.

They are pretty much willing to customize anything you want. I dont know how much extra it would cost you but im pretty sure they would do the angled riser for you.

Infact...now you've got me thinking about purchasing another one, lol.

One other thing i just noticed that Lyt does not have...

All the NYC pedal boards are reinforced with steel brackets at all corners and joins. Thats a major + if you are gonna be dragging it around and stomping on it night after night.

Another thing I noticed about the NYC boards is that the riser is moveable. On the Lyt, its in a fixed position. I'm not sure how much that matters, but the moveable riser could be a valuable option.

LOL, I'm thinking about my whole set-up and started another thread about the Carl Martin Octa Switch... I was thinking about stashing some of the pedals under the NYC flat riser and using the Octa Switch to control my effects... Not sure how many pedals I can stash under Lyt's angled riser...

NYC and Lyt are literally neck-in-neck...

Oh well, the :banghead: continues...

Sent an email to Lyt and they replied already (that's good service) and confirmed - the riser is not moveable. Its in a fixed position.

They did suggest going "custom" and I could have the riser positioned anywhere on the board I wanted. But once again, it will be in a fixed position once installed. Too bad...

Since I never know what kind of effects I might get in the future and what size they might be, the moveable riser on the NYC is a plus...

My LYT pedal board is fine for my use (It fits my power supply nice and snug under the riser which is really good!) I dion't abuse it though. Only slight problem is the glue on the supplied velcro (the bit that attachess to the pedals) is a bit weak but the velcro itself is quite strong from my experience anyway.

Rise ye thread of old....... LYT boards just hit my radar, so I found this thread doing a search. Any new info on LYT boards? The ones they have listed on ebay advertise that the riser IS movable. So maybe they have changed this since this thread started..?? Pricing and build quality/features are appealing.. Am gonna check NYC too

I have the Lyt16 that I bought a couple of years back (I don't use it anymore, but it's a nice board). The moveable riser must be in the last year or so, as mine is not.

Yeah, my board is a lyt32 and I have this exact issue. It's literally my only gripe, but then, I got it used for like 50 bucks, so if I were paying full price I'd go for the NYC board.

After 6 years I still have the board but the top tier came completely off (probably about 3 years ago) as it is only held on by small tack so I put big screws and reglued it and it served me longer, something like a pedaltrain is easier and better built but costs a hell alot more. New ones look like they may be different.

It's a plastic type material... flexes when you lift the board up, but is plenty strong and very lightweight.
