My co-guitarist got some gig bags...never saw anything like 'em...a very kool kandy blue! http://www.roblesroadcase.com/guitarbag.html
I asked him if they made a green one..yeah, I dig green...he said no. I took a good look at it and decided I'll make a green one for myself.:approve: Of course I'm already thinking I'll out-pimp his kool blue bag. There's a fabric store here that brought in a lot of very kool metalflake vinyl, much cheaper than my upholstery supplier sells for and a ton more colors. Lot of ladies buying fabrics in there, I head for the vinyl and see this killer lime green. And then I see a pile of colored fur! Lime green fur...woot! I'm set! The blue case is a generic shape and shaped to fit a Strat, so I reshape my pattern for my LP's. I use a 1/4" landau foam (semi rigid) for the 'shell' with 1/4" foam and the fur lining. I got about 60 bucks in supplies...add in about 12+ hours of labor...:scratchch yeah, I'm nuts. I really needed a free arm sewing machine to put the final white edging on, I struggled and I'm not 100% happy with it, but after 5 times of removing,cutting new trim and resewing, i did my best and that's that. I think the inside is the best part...the blue case has a very rough black nylon liner...I guess for 85 bucks and made in China, it aiiight...still, my LP will be warm and fuzzy inside. Yes, there are shoulder straps on the back side....
