would a double thick, half width magnet, be the same strength as a regular sized magnet
... the magnetic field would be smaller but stronger, This would produce less super low end but a tighter bass response overall. The highs would be brighter with an extended presence ... all this while retaining the same mids.
I haven't tested myself, but this makes sense.
I forgot to ask, is this a single coil or humbucker?
I have some A5 half width, double thick magnets (but full length) but I notice they're seemingly weak compared to regular humbucker magnets. QUOTE]
now that i think of it is there anyway you could "hook a brotha up" with a 2 of those magnets, i would like my bluesbucker to have a little more life, and im not a huge fan of the ceramics. on that pickup im not worried at all about drop in output, the pickup is about 1mm above the pickguard.please lol
