Need some help here I have an Ibanez RG2EX1 Basswood body with SD AHB-3 EMTY installed, yes I have it almost looking like the MTM2.
But the MTM2 has a Mahogany body. Will the tone, sound be better with Mahogany or is Basswood just as good.
I have a chance to get a used MTM2 really cheap ($200.00). I ran into a guy needing some cash he removed the pickups and was going to replace them but ran into money trouble.
I checked out the guitar it looks to be in great shape but missing the pickups V7 – V8 which is what my RG had in it, which I still have.
Just wanted to know if the SD AHB-3 would sound better in a Mahogany body.
