Walked into a local Pawn Shop and almost missed this one. Was setting in the back of the bottom guitar rack and was filthy. Old Washburn that at first I thought was a cheap import but nope. As soon as I saw the Wilkerson 100 trem I knew instantly what it was. 1995 Chicago Custom US built Silverado from when Grover Jackson was running that custom shop is what this one was. The folks at the Pawn shop didn't have a clue what it really was so I walked out with it for get this $140. Many of you know I love these guitars but this one is different. This is the 3rd Silverado I have owned but the only 95 I have ever seen. It has the same thin neck as my other 95 MG guitars and is an absolute monster player. This is v the Silverado I have always wanted and it plays rings around my Sunburst 94. No fret wear not a trace and now plays like absolute butter. I can't believe I grabbed this one for $140 !! This one is gonna see a LOT of play time!

Don't know on the pickup changes. These came with Duncan's that were listed as Duncan Custom singles. They are not SSL-5's and sound pretty good. I have a set of Surfer II's with the Eric Johnson set up (300K volume tones are neck and bridge only) in my Sunburst Silverado. These are slightly hotter and fatter but still sound like a good Strat should so this one may stay as it is.
Took it out last night to a practice and it's a killer. Will put this guitar head to head with any Custom shop Fender. They had no clue what they had!!
This neck in particular I love. This is the 3rd Silverado I have owned and the only 95 I have ever seen. The others are 94's and have a much thicker more D shaped neck profile, but this one has pretty much the same neck profile as my pair of 95 Washburn MG's which are my favorite bolt on necks period. They have rosewood boards this is a one piece quarter sawn maple neck with no separate fretboard, a 16 radius with 6100 frets.
This thing is the ultimate shredders Strat!! With the dark blue, it's hard to see the grain, but this one is as nice as my Red Silverado here.
Very high grade nicely figured swamp ash body the unique to these guitar's locking tuners, Wilkerson 100 that is super articulate and smooth plus is rock solid in tuning. It's the equal to my 23 Kiesel Delos in every way.

Have 2 that are SSH and 2 that are SSS. The 2 SSH guitars are both Kiesels my 2017 DC 135 and my 23 Delos. The 2 SSS guitars are both the Washburn US Silverados. All run different Pickups and all have trems.
This is my 2017 neck through 25 scale 24 fret Kiesel DC 135 with Carvin AP11 singles, Kiesel Beryllium bridge and a Floyd. The Delos is a 25.5 scale 22 fretter and has a pair of the Marks Singles, a Beryllium bridge and a Ghoto 510.
Both the Washburn's have Duncan's and Wilkerson 100's. I'm really happy with them all on the pickups, and they are very different sounding and playing guitars.

1970's 6 way Sansui SP 2000's. Found them in a thrift store for $35 in mint condition. Have a bunch of vintage audio stuff and these are surprisingly good. It's breathtaking listing to Lenny from SRV on these at volume with the right gear.

Took the new Silverado out tonight. Really like this guitar and haven't put it down since I got it cleaned up, restrung and set up.
Would have normally played my Kiesel Delos, but not tonight.
I can't get over how different this one is from my other 94 Silverado. This neck is the same feel and profile as my 2 95 MG US Wasburns. I was considering using that bound 95 NOS neck on my sunburst Silverado to build this guitar, as I had no idea that a 95 Silverado was ever built with that neck profile, this one had to have been a custom build. I never knew this guitar existed with this neck until now, as these necks were 95 to 96 only and are my all-time favorite bolt on strat scale necks. This is my ultimate shredders high end strat! I can't believe I own this thing!! It's going to see a LOT of play time!

I have some Sansui SP-X7's, that have the same grill, same basic era. The SP-X7's are NOT good sounding speakers. They just look great.

I also have a "little red barn" full of vintage audio that I need to do something with. My vintage audio infatuation is as bad as my guitar GAS.

These found a home in my music room for a reason. Replaced a pair of JBL P 40's I bought new back in the late 1980's. These really do sound nice.
They are what you hear playing the backing track on this clip recorded with my Zoom Q 3 HD. I'm running a nice older 150watt Harman Kardon receiver to push them here.
