major problem !! help

alright i got an epiphone les paul i got a 59 and a dimebucker put in it. the thing is i dont have the receipt for the pickups because the authorized dealer didnt give one to me. they did alot of work on it and they still havent got it right yet i keep having a ground problem/short ive noticed with the 59 in the neck that the tape around the bobbins is only half on it the guy at the store said thats how it came in i was wondering what i should do as i dont have the receipt ive spent 370 on this damn thing and woodys music still hasnt got it right hope this is in the right place of the forum

I just did a hybrid with 2 Duncans and noticed the same thing...tape only around the half of the pickup with the lead wires coming out. However, I wasn't having any ground problems with either pup when they were installed before the hybrid work. I think the problem might be elsewhere.
What exactly is happening that sounds like a grounding issue? Excessive hum, weak signal, or what?

I used the 1/4" for mine.
