Yeah that would be a great pickup. Personally I would go Black Winter or Dimebucker, you also might want to go 250K post if the guitar is overly bright.

Meticulous wiring is not a part, but moreover, we're not talking about the justification on the part of Gibson to charge $X, we're talking about the justification of us, the consumer to actually pay $X. If you bought a Gibson, explain why the cost was justified in your mind, not in Gibson's mind.

I've considered Marshalls to be overpriced, pay-for-the-name, amps since I was a kid and still do now that I can afford one. My Carvin V3 costs less and has the same features that most Marshall's twice the price have. So why'd you buy one, foolishly, when you could have all of that sound, quality and features for significantly less money? Seems foolish and like you just want the name recognition.
