Re: making cheap guitars awesome

So you have no problem giving Gibson extra 1300 dollars for that meticulous wiring and sturdy plastic parts?

There is not a single product in the world that its retail value is only based upon the cost of its parts. Not a single one.

Now get this through your head. The market sets the price. Even freaking milk. If the supply is low and the demand is high the price will go up. If the demand is low and the supply high it will fall its 4th grade economics.

So there are millions of people in the freakin' world actually have a Bugatti on their to-buy-list, but since the supply is low, the price shoots up? Once everybody on the planet reaches a consensus to not want a Bugatti, then the price will fall to under that of a Camry, right? Okay, got it.

Meticulous wiring is not a part, but moreover, we're not talking about the justification on the part of Gibson to charge $X, we're talking about the justification of us, the consumer to actually pay $X. If you bought a Gibson, explain why the cost was justified in your mind, not in Gibson's mind.

Because it makes people happy my man. Satisfied. Like I said before, you can sink in a thousand bucks into a Squier to make it sound like a 57 Vintage Reissue, and it may turn out nearly identical with the real thing. But at the end of the day, a piece of ****, will always be a piece of ****. A Squier will always be a Squier, (cheap Strat knockoff made of plywood) not a real Strat (why else do you think Fender doesn't call it Fender but Squier by Fender? Cause the brand is a disgrace to the company but it allows people who can't (or don't want to) afford a Strat to feel what a real Strat feels like).

Once you have ten thousand bucks in disposable income every ****ing month, paying 2000 dollars for a Gibson doesn't feel as painful as when you live with your parents, just to make my point.

Re: making cheap guitars awesome

I feel like premium line guitars are like lottery tickets; the kind of people who can afford to be spending extra money on them aren't stupid enough to do so.

Re: making cheap guitars awesome

I love how the biggest arguments come from the poor ****s who can only afford mim and mia.

Re: making cheap guitars awesome

Would a Seymour Duncan Invader be a nice pickup for an overly bright BC Rich st3 nj series guitar?? Any suggestions anyone?

DreX don't worry I can more than afford my Gibsons and the 20 other guitars I own. I could pick up two today with no repercussions. If you promise to go away I would even be happy to buy a Les Paul for you.

Yeah that would be a great pickup. Personally I would go Black Winter or Dimebucker, you also might want to go 250K post if the guitar is overly bright.

Oh don't backpedal now. Here's what you said in the previous post:

'Not a single one' should include every ****ing Bugatti Veyron on the ****ing planet, no?

Brian... its not a back peddle.. its a severe failure of your reading comprehension, you even quoted the part that you missed. Here i will highlight for you since its going over your head. "There is not a single product in the world that its retail value is only based upon the cost of its parts?

That guy is arguing just to argue.

Ignore it and it might go away.

I've dealt with trolls that are 100 times smarter than this one. If no one pays him any attention, he'll leave.

Standing up for an MIM says nothing about one's financial situation. Warren Buffet lives in his ****ing 50 year-old house in ****ing Nebraska, yet he's the second/ third largest richest man on the ****ing planet.

Re: making cheap guitars awesome

btw since you keep bringing it up... the bugattis base price is 2.7mil (for the super sport model) most though have been sold for 3.5 mil, this is OVER the sticker price... for 1 reason... demand... demand drives prices

I thought you said the Bugatti was the wrong analogy. So the supply/ demand should not apply, no? I love economics! The rule changes every ****ing second!

Here's a suggestion for you: Maybe next time you just leave my comment alone, despite how bad you want to bash me. That way, everybody would walk out with their heads high.

Live up to your own rule: Don't feed the ****ing troll.
