Man, people in my town are crazy on Craigslist!

Re: Man, people in my town are crazy on Craigslist!

Gibson owners are the worst for this stuff. Also, craigslist is full of Gibbo fakes selling for thousands. I wouldn't buy one without getting an expert to look at it.
I'm perfectly capable of telling if its fake or not myself, that's not a concern for me.

He shows a pic of the orig price tag for $2100

Re: Man, people in my town are crazy on Craigslist!

There's a guy here trying to sell a 2006 les Paul standard for $6000.

Someone should email him and say, "Surely you mean't $600 because $6,000 would be 4 times what it's actually worth". For 6k I could buy a new 59 LP RI and still have $1,700 left over...... lol

2006 LES PAUL STANDARD (PLUS) - $6000 (CENTRAL,IL.)

By this guy's logic, my JEM 7DBK should be worth at least fifteen grand. :lmao:

Re: Man, people in my town are crazy on Craigslist!

I had a friend send me a message asking if I knew anybody who might want to buy his import something (dont remember what it was exactly)
It was a decent $200 guitar. His was a few years old and has been played and he was asking $200 for it. At the time they were blowing this particular model out at most dealers for $150 or so. I told him he could probably get $100-$125 for it at most. He said "well I listed it as OBO, that price is just a bargaining tool"
I tried to explain that the price would scare most people off, but he did not listen.
