Man, this guy was really something during the 80's. I always thought that it was a shame that his band (with exception of Alan Murphy) was a a "level" below him.

The impressive thing is that he can play like this, sing, and jump around the stage - all at the same time!:smokin:

I think it's electrical tape on his thumb. I seem to remember that from an article in GP way back when.
The guy can definitely play, but I'm having a hard time with that tone. Not to be a hater, but I didn't miss this style of bass playing when it went away.

man, i think im gonna get one! it looks like it protects the joint on your left thumb, which hurts sometimes after long periods

and yeah, as for MK's tone.. it works for what he's doing - he couldnt jump in there and play in someone else's band as most other bassists do!

He's an amazing player, but his sound has always been a little too thin for my tastes.
