But I would only need it for my tweed amps that came without?
Other than that, there are so many ways to get some sweet reverb into the signal path, I think there would be very few with this specific need. But that's only one opinion. Maybe where you are there's a whole bunch of people lamenting the absence?

Fender does one for 700 and they put their name on so...
600 from a relatively unknown builder might be a stretch. But I'm no electronics wizard so let me think this out....Seems you need a 30 dollar pan, a few JJ's, a couple of pots....so what are we at now...60 bucks? A chassis...maybe another 60? Caps, resistors, wire and maybe a small transformer....another 60? So let's call that 200 in parts? So yeah...I guess to make it worth your while and make a few bucks you'd need to charge 6 bills. And I imagine you'd put it together better than Fender would. Good luck with it man!

If you market it right ("artisan crafted hand-wired" etc vs. "homemade") on eBay or Reverb and make a big deal about authenticity and extremely limited production I would certainly give it a shot. I would be surprised if you can't sell at least a few of them.

My buddies at 41st Amps actually found that their stand alone reverb head was one of their best sellers after they launched it. They loosely based it on the blackface Fender model, but they use a 6v6 instead of the 6k6. It still sounds heavenly to me, and I plan on buying one at some point. For me, no reverb beats the warmth and beauty of a stand alone reverb head. I was spoiled. My ex has a 77 Silverface (6v6 version) and a 64 Blackface and I got to gig with both frequently before we split. I've tried a few pedals since then (FRV-1, HoF, Holy Grail) and nothing comes close for me.

There's a link to their unit. $499 for the 6v6, and if I recall, they charged the people who upgraded to a 6k6 an extra $100, so $600 would be right on the money I think.

This may seem like a stupid question, but why is a standalone reverb box so expensive, given that many amp builders add reverb tanks for not much additional cost? I assume it is the additional preamp tube circuitry? I mean.... a Fender deluxe reverb is like $1K; if I was going to spend $600 on a standalone reverb why not just spend the extra $ for an amp that had a good reverb in it?
The flexibility would be cool, and adding verb to a dry amp you really loved otherwise might be a plus but $600 is a lot of cash...

Most on board reverbs are just a single knob. on a reverb head, you have three knobs; Mix, Tone, Dwell. This allows for a much wider variety of reverb tones. I'm sure the extra tubes, transformer, etc that are dedicated to only reverb probably improve the sound quality as well.
I love the reverb on my 41st Amps Bayonet and I love the reverb on my Super Sonic Twin, but I still want to add a reverb head to my arsenal, especially for pedal steel stuff.
