Marshall Echohead?

Anybody have one or tried one?

My main delay is the old standby DD-3, so for my #2, I might as well go with something NOT a DD-3. I was thinking about a Memory Toy, but this Echohead presented itself and seems to do a lot of different stuff.

Tell me what you know.

Re: Marshall Echohead?

I had one for a while. My amp didn't really play well with it. I couldn't get nice clear repeats.

I've had great success with the Line 6 Echo Park.

Re: Marshall Echohead?

Hey Rich...I like my little DE-7, small footprint... does dirty echoplex-ish tones and crisper delays....nice little box for cheap.

Re: Marshall Echohead?

Hmmm. 22 hours, only one guy's tried the Echohead, and he didn't like it. Maybe that's why it's been discontinued.

On paper, it seems to do some cool stuff.

Re: Marshall Echohead?

I had a look at one. As you say, full of features, plus you can use an external 'momentary' pedal to give you tap tempo. I've just gotten a Regenerator pedal from the same series, very cool, if a little noisy.

Re: Marshall Echohead?

Rich S, I bought my second Rocktron Short Timer from you...what didn't you like about it? I loved the first one so much I sold the DD-3 I had used for years. Warm analog sounding tone and with 2 of them I can get Edge style triplets--sonic goodness!

Re: Marshall Echohead?

The Short Timer was just too big - I needed the space on my board, so I've been making do with just a DD-3. Now I'm hoping to add another small delay to give me different sounds, or at least two presets.
