Marshall GV2 guv'nor and its two ICs.

I just looked at the schems and it's a nice simple little pedal...but on the board it's got two ICs. The schems only use one. This means the other is used for buffering purposes right?
I'd like to get the pedal closer to my Crunch Box. I'll keep the buffer circuitry in though, no point in modding that.

That'd be my guess. The tonepad layout's only got one as well. Then again my knowledge on these things is somewhat limited ;).

Then again...maybe those two IC's are single op-amps? The tonepad IC is a dual op-amp.
