Marshall Haze 15

Anyone know what exactly are the issues with these amps??? I've heard they are unreliable.

But dang, they sound pretty good with the 6v6s. Alot better than those Buzzy-ass MA series.

Re: Marshall Haze 15

I think they sound good too but I've heard they have issues with the output transformers. They recalled a bunch a while back. I've heard complaints about when the amp gets hot the popping between channels gets really loud. Also, there was a person on the HCF who had to return 2 of them because he said one day it just sounded like filthy muddy distortion.

I've played one and I thought it sounded good for the money but stayed away because of the reliability of them.

Re: Marshall Haze 15

My mom's got a haze 40. The input jack had been repaired with flying leads after the pcb in that area snapped. Some thin-ass PCB in there.
Also, once or twice, I've had problems with it dropping in output a little, usually after it's been on a while. Maybe it's still related to the input?

That's all I got about the haze series and reliability.

The tone of the 40W is pretty cool. Have you checked that one out yet?

Re: Marshall Haze 15

The Haze is a cheap Marshall. It will fall apart in a couple of months and Marshall will say 'What did you expect from a cheap amp ?' A lot of guys had serious issues with the Slash ADF amps and the amp's designer went onto the forum and accused them of 'whining'. Marshall has no respect for it's customers - just cough up the cash and **** off.

I remember when he accused people of that. What a bush move. :smack:

Re: Marshall Haze 15

Thanks for the feedback- reckon I'll shy away. It's too bad. Almost sounds like this is a repeat of the JTM combos of the early/mid 90s.

Your mom... does she shred? :D

I wanna see someone come on the forums and say something like "my mom's drop-tuned LP into her Uberschall Rev. 2" or "my mom's 7-string into her Triple Recto". LOL...

NO she does not. I've given her several lessons but she doesn't practice much. Her gear is waste on her lest she find some more motivation and time.

There is so much potential for inappropriate comments in this thread, it's rediculous.

It's like finding the world's biggest gold deposit. I'm absolutely giddy with joy.
