Marshall jvm 410h

So I've never gotten one very well with Marshall's. and before I get flamed, it's not because I don't like the tone. They sound great. I just can't get the response and reaction from them like I want. But I was killing time in guitar center the other day and played a tele through the newer jvm 410h. It was run through a used orange 4x12 they had. I was really surprised by the tone and response. I then picked up a prs se, and a dime (to try an invader through it) and both were muddy slop. Apparently for me, Marshall and tele equal great sound.

Most people make fun of me cause I'm one of the only guys in the world who doesn't like Marshalls. but that setup made me want the whole rig just to have the tone in my arsenal.

Not sure is there a question here? Do you want us to explain to you why you dont like marshalls? Or just shooting the breeze?

That has been my usual experience with Marshalls, especially the jvms. But this one with the orange cab and tele surprised me. I don't think I'd buy one but it was a pleasant surprise. There are times I want that sort of tone for foo fighters style stuff, though.

Re: Marshall jvm 410h

I do appreciate the tone of the Orange PPC412, but not the weight, ugh... Well, not exactly my tone, but a great one nonetheless. I don't mind the JVM's feel but it's just too compressed and polite for my taste. I am one of the few guys in the world who dislikes Boogies for similar reasons, so your lack of enthusiasm for an amp brand is not the first case ever heard of.

I like boogie on paper but I haven't gotten my hands on one. I do have the thought in the back of my mind that I wouldn't like them just because I'm such a big fan of the 5150/soldano style tone.
