What do you all think of a Marshall Major with 2 Blue Glass JJ Electronic KT88 instead of four KT88s, Navy Blue Tolex, Ox Blood Grill Cloth, Semi Open Back 1x12" Fender Showman Cabinet, and Eminence EM12?

I would bet you one of my nuts (100% serious here) that nobody has ever tried that exact combination. You're probably better off talking to whomever you would have assemble that monstrosity to get their opinion.

The amp will be built by VVT Amps in Waldorf, MD.

The amp sounds good, but the cab is all wrong. That would be a hard directional punch to the ear....a clean midrangey Marshall into one EV in a wimpy cab.

Get a 212 in the Bogner large style with a Celestion V30 and H30.

Amp is fine. Mick Ronsons old Pig is at my local dealer (along with his LPC and a bunch of pedals,.etc.). Mick at least later in his life, ran it with 2 tubes.


But your cab is fubar.
