JTM 50 would be closer since it used EL34's. The JTM 45 used 5881's then KT66's. Still, not a bad idea.

There is not, a JTM 50 woudl be the closest but you're looking at a LARGE chunk of money. Best option I can give you is a Matchless Clubman Reverb...it does have EL34's, it does have reverb and it does have a tube rectifier...it also is a killer amp and sounds amazing...like a kick ass JTM45.

That's a "killer" amp also! My buddy owns 2 of the Clubman amps,though I think one is only a 30 watter?

Christian is right. Nothing from Marshall, but the Matchless Chieftain is the best out there with those specs. Expensive tho.
Maybe a blue Traynor combo would be a less expensive option, but it's a SS rectifier. A lot of people prefer SS rectifiers because the bottom end is tighter.
Tube recs always have more sag and a spongier bottom.

John is right...the Clubman is only 30-35 watts but it is a LOUD ass 30-35 watts!
I know that the Clubman is pricy but those are well worth every penny IMO...
As to what Marshall has against reverb...it kills off a good bit of tone...

Im not saying reverb isn't great but it is a well known fact that is lots of amps it can effect the tone in a negative way...

Its interesting, but I have found that a great amp really doesn't need it. I did not ever think I would say that, but a really good sounding amp sounds full and rich without reverb, I go with John........ get a good sounding amp and if you want reverb get external reverb. The Fender Reverb units are pretty awesome.

Reverb isn't usually used on non-master Marshalls, because they are based tonally around the concept of overdiving the output tubes. This would garble the reverb to a degree.
A JTM45 can be converted to EL34 use. It's actually not that uncommon.

Blackflag, your search is very similiar to someone wanting a tweed deluxe with a solid state rectifier and vibrato, no dice man, no dice.
The clubman would be a good choice, also you might consider looking at some small builders.

I'll say this about Marshalls....They sound better to me overdriven without reverb....I do like reverb with my NMV Marshall though for playing clean.Mine is almost clean in a nice 59 Bassman kinda way and I Love the way reverb with my amp help fills out the clean tones....If I go overdriven though,I'll then stomp out of the verbzilla pedal and get back the crunch and note articulation we get from our great old Marshalls!
