Re: Marshall studio 15

Crap. It's within driving distance - wish I had the $$$. THe Studio 15 is one of the few amps I'd like to buy vs. build-it-myself.

Re: Marshall studio 15

i am pretty sure gr8scott has one. You should hit him up or I am sure he'll pop in.

Re: Marshall studio 15

How didja know I was dropping into this thread? Yepper! I got one. Love it quite a lot too. Put a Mojotone BV-12H (g12H30 clone) in it and it now rules. Very classic rock tone and it has a decent helping of gain. The absolute best practice amp/jam amp I've ever seen for the money invested. I think Brisk likes it. He liked it enough to almost trade his Rivera Chubster for it. Once I changed the speaker in it, I think he liked it even more, but he also changed the speaker in his Chubster and then put a new pre tube in it to get it tonally balanced like he likes it. He's happy with it finally and doesn't want to part with it. I almost got a Chubster for it though... Almost. :fingersx:

Killer little amp!

Re: Marshall studio 15

Oh... The amp on ebay is currently WAY low in price. If it stays anywhere under $600, it's a steal. There are only 435 of these amps in existance. I highly recommend that someone snap this amp up!

Re: Marshall studio 15

I'm not an ologist yet but if I could swing it I would have just sent a pic of this marshall after the sale, no hard feelings :D

Re: Marshall studio 15

I remember when they were new and I'm still kicking myself for not getting one then. It's one of the best "little" tubes amps ever made.

Re: Marshall studio 15

Well LakePlacidBlues, the stage is all yours if you want it. I'd snap this one up also, but I need to fund a cab for the Traynor YCS-100 head that's in the shop first.

Re: Marshall studio 15

Wow!! That does look like a little ripper of an amp. I don't think I've ever seen a 12" Combo so straight forward.

How would it compare to the Mesa F30?
