Match for Seth Lover Bridge pickup!!

:feedback:I got lucky on a auction, and picked up a Seth Lover Bridge pickup pretty reasonable. Since then I have not installed it and have been looking for either a Seth Lover neck pickup or something that will match up great. So that leads me to here. I am looking for ideas about what might be the best match for this pickup? I am also open to hearing about the Antiquities Pickups as well. I really would like to get some opinions on what people think are the better pickups. I play normally the Blues or Classic Rock! I do a lot of custom work for some people on a local level, and I am always trying to stay up to date on whats out in the market, and how it sounds. Its easy to get wraped up into just what I am doing and lose track of what the market is doing or heading.
Latley I have been working with a local band that has started thier first recording and it very Heavy Dark Metal, which is a all new twist for me. So I am sure that I will be asking questions in this area soon, just food for thought. I have always been a vinatge guy LOVE the PG's I own several sets!!
So any help that you can give me I do truley appreciate.

Re: Match for Seth Lover Bridge pickup!!

Greetings from TAmpa. There are no/few pups that are gonna go from blues/classic to Dark Metal well. Unless you have very generic pups and a helluva rig! (59's?)

What guitar is this in? What amp/fx?

I'd worry less about the market and just get two guitars - Blues / Classic Rock and a metal axe.
B/CR = Seths, PG/Seth, 59, Seth, or pair of 59's…Whole Lotta Humbucker set.
Metal = 59/Distortion and call it a day.

The "market" in classic rock blues doesn't change - that's why it is classic!!!!

Metal, on the other hand….

And as far as PG's, I say just get a pair of those for the blues /classic rock and tap them.

Re: Match for Seth Lover Bridge pickup!!

I am sorry I only do Blues and Classic rock
I am working on the guitars of the guy in the metal band!! I dont do metal, but I sure like working on their equipment!

Re: Match for Seth Lover Bridge pickup!!

I would get another seth lover or an alnico II pro.

Re: Match for Seth Lover Bridge pickup!!

Ok Thanks that good to know. I was thinking that might be the case. Any Idea's on using a PG neck pickup? with the Seth bridge?

Re: Match for Seth Lover Bridge pickup!!

The Seth neck is the perfect companion for the Seth bridge, if you want a balanced set and the most clarity from your neck pickup. The AIIP and PG are not as clean, and can overwhelm the Seth bridge pickup. If a fat, creamy neck tone that overpowers the bridge is what you want, then I would try one of those two.
