i've got an X2N in the bridge of my charvel. i want to put a new bucker in the neck. i'm looking for a classic PAF tone, but with enough power to match with the X2N. what do you guys think?

I used a JBn X2Nb combo for awhile. They matched nicely for metal.

I had a guitar with a JB neck and X2N bridge. That is a fantastic metal combo. The two pickups compliment each other VERY well.

Rock On! :headbang:

This combo was the mainstay of my tone 1992-1994. One of my buds was adjusting the height of the X2N when the screwdriver slipped---gouge---and the X2N met its fate. By then, my tastes had mellowed a little bit...so I moved the JB to the bridge and got a HRn pickup. Still not as MOLTEN as the JB/X2N setup. Killer.

DiMarzio PAFpro, believe me. I have that combo in my Ibanez 540fm (and a DiMarzio Fasttrack in the middle) and i LOVE that setup. And it's the only "paf-ish" pup that has power enough to match the x2n i believe.
