Matchless Hot Box Pedal

can someone inform me more on this pedal. there doesn't seem to be much information out there about this pre-amp pedal. seems like a very useful (expensive as well) tone tool

does anyone know how the distortion channel on it or is modeled after (in the matchless product line)
