Mating Another Twangbanger With APS2?

Guys enlighten me again on the wiring of the bridge Twangbanger? I need to switch the wires at the TB or do I just reverse the leads on the TB at the switch?

I can't remember if my RWRP is in the neck spot or if it's in the middle?

Re: Mating Another Twangbanger With APS2?

i had a twangbanger and a Rwrp middle Aps, and if i remember correctly, wiring it the stock way created humcancelling in the 2nd position

so, if you can get the rwrp in the middle, just wire it like normal and it should work....i cant remember flipping any wires, from what i remember, it was right on the first try with normal wiring

Re: Mating Another Twangbanger With APS2?

yeah, the TB's wired like SSLs and APSs ... it's the Antiquity that's wired differently

Re: Mating Another Twangbanger With APS2?

Only Antiquity I AFAIK. However, the Antiquity I wiring is compatible with Fender CS Strat pickups -- at least it is with my Texas Specials.

Curly; Is that true of Antiquity II's also?
texas hot™ for strat:

The magnets are calibrated and the coils are wound "top going" with "north" magnetic polarity, the same as the early vintage models.

antiquity II™ for strat; custom bridge surfer:

winding direction: top going top going
magnet polarity: south

the thing I don't know is the winding direction and polarity of the production models

Re: Mating Another Twangbanger With APS2?

In my limited experience, the Twangbanger matches up with the SSL-1's as expected, so I assume it will work as expected with the APS1's. The Antiquity I Texas Hots were wound the opposite of the SSL-1's, but were wired to match Fender CS Texas Specials. From all of that and what I've heard, the Antiquity II Surfers will match the SSL-1 and other Duncans as expected, but not the Ant I Texas Hots or Fender CS pickups.

Thanks guys...The other Twangbanger is wired to the Ant Surfers in my blue strat and I had to do some wire switching on that one...
