May have wired Hot Rails wrong..Help..

Put 3 rails in my strat. I had it done and since I'm usually a DIY guy I decided to put new strings on so I checked out the job.

They had it Red and White wires soldered together and taped off. and the Shielding and Green wire together and grounded to the pot and the Black to the switch.

The Green and Black are backwards according the the site. They are all 3 like this, so my ? is does it need to be changed or is that fine since all 3 are the same way.

Someone said the way they are is "out of phase" whatever that means. Will it affect the tone?

Thanks

Thats exactly the way they're supposed to be wired. Check out this diagram:

Even if you got black and green reversed, it still wouldn't be out-of-phase, because they'ld all be wired the same. Out-of-phase is only something to worry about if one pickup is wired backwards relevant to the others.

Your axe should sound great.
