Maybe a stupid question.... adding a bassline to a single instrument? lol

In this song there are 2 guitars and an upright bass. Playing the original guitar parts sounds fine but it feels like it lacks ass. I can do without the second guitar but that upright bass is great. Is there anyway I could replicate that live? Looper? Rearranging the tune? Any ideas guys?
