Megaswitch Model E questions

Re: Megaswitch Model E questions

By definition, the tone pot that operates on the neck pickup will also influence the middle pickup when both pickups are selected.

Since the E Switch cannot select the middle pickup by itself, there is no reason to dedicate a tone control to that pickup.

Re: Megaswitch Model E questions

OK, this is good to know...so when either neck and middle or middle and bridge are selected, the middle pickup is influenced by whatever tone knob the neck or bridge is connected to? I was thinking that if I had, say, middle and bridge selected, and I turned down the bridge's tone, it would only affect the bridge pickup and not the middle. But that isn't right- is it?

Re: Megaswitch Model E questions

Gotcha. I was just getting confused- when the switch is in position 3, with 1 coil from the neck, and 1 from the bridge is active....since there is a tone for the neck and one for the bridge, my guess is both tones work on their respective pickups, or does each tone influence both pickups?

Re: Megaswitch Model E questions

In selector switch position 3, both tone pots can roll off treble. If you have different capacitor values for each pot, you get a choice of how much treble can be filtered away.
