Re: Mesa Heartbreaker now has a loud Crackle?
So here's another weird update on this, weird because I thought this whole situation was resolved....
So, I called them a minute ago to find out whether they'd found the foot switch yet, or not......And apparently, some other customer has it... Apparently they sold it to him along with a Princeton Reverb II they were selling.
Now, what they're claiming is they didn't "sell it" to him, but that when he bought the amp, and "someone" let him "take" the footswitch home, because they "didn't know" it didn't go with that amp...And NOW they've discovered that the phone number they had on file for the guy was "disconnected", so they sent him an email, and told me "If we don't hear from him in a few days, I'll just go over to the address we have on file, and talk to him."....So yeah....I'm starting to get pissed. Cause this is sort of ridiculous.
The shop is Randee's Music in Rockford, IL
It wouldn't be much of an issue if it weren't for the fact that these Rivera Era Fender amps use a totally weird footswitch that is unlike anything used by any other amps. The Footswitches themselves sell for around $150-200 on ebay, when you can actually find them for sale, and even reproductions are around $50.....so yeah...
