They were demoing the new Series One 50 watt head at Sam Ash in Tampa..They had that head cranked up into a Blackstar 4x12 and that amp rocks! They also had the new Blackstar pedal for you metal guys and it sounded killer also...They said this head sells for around $1400...Had alot of features, along with some very nice clean tones..The guys were ex-Marshall people and were all very nice to talk to...This Blackstar stuff is really great for the money!

I'd really love one of their 30w Artisan heads. I use a Blackstar HT-Dual pedal as my main drive these days and it's fab.

Their amps are really great and within most musician's reach...They have done alot in 5 years already! They told me that Neil Schon is using their amps now...He switches it up alot anyway, but still....Awesome player, awesome amps!

Where I am living at the moment, I have the Marshall factory about 40 mins away and the Blackstar guys about 90 mins away!

Very cool....I'm a diehard Marshall guy...Lol.....Early Marshall though and before all the switches and the rest of the crap they stick in their circuits after the 800 series!

Gus G. is a Blackstar guy too. I think he uses about a dozen Series One 200's. I'm sure ten or more are props, but I thought he got some pretty good tones on the latest Ozzy record. I think the HT-5 is probably the best option out there for home recording. And the ISF thing is far from a gimmick. It's a really useful tone-shaping option, much more so than any sort of sweep control I've ever used. It's cool to see innovation in the amp world.

Yes they mentioned Gus G in conversation...The 200 watt heads must be just brutal!

I've played the Artisan 30 if you are thinking about it DO IT! it's one of my favorite amps to date....give me the artisan 30 combo and a roland jazz chorus (and a good aby switcher) and I'd die a happy man.
