GGreatness! My Zakk Epi is still probabaly my most metal guitar. I consider both my Jackson Superstrats still 'Classic' Heavy Metal..now thats not a bad thing at all in and of itself ( one is a super shredder ala Vai) ..I love them for that, but hey, lets get real!Modern Metal is crushing ...and still fast.That requires a bone marrow transplant of a guitar, like the one in my OP.

Honestly..I played a 58 Paul, a 58 Tele, all kinds of crap, and to be real frank, my cheap Epi Zakk Wylde Paul is better for modern metal.

Wait a minute... So what you're saying is that guitars that weren't built for metal, existed before metal was a thing and generally aren't used for metal are bad at playing metal? Holy crap... I never coulda figured that out myself... :duh:

I just bought a Steel strat neck plate form Greece! I like Grecian Women..and you are way outta your league here and I think some of the more knowlegable vets here who know who I am, and have been my friends for years and who vouchsafe for exactly where I am coming from ( I shoot straight from the hip, and none of my seemingly preposterous claims are lies) would tell you that straight to your face..

But you said in your OP that every Les Paul is pathetic at modern metal. Last time I checked a Zakk Epi LP is still a Les Paul.

They might be heavy set, at least some of them, but olive oil is good for the circulatory system, that and the classic "Mediterranean" diet means that they are probably still quite capable of vigorous physical activities.
