METAL PICKUP RINGS

I am preparing to convert my guitar pickups to be mounted to pickup rings instead of hard mounted to the bottom of the pickup cavity. I looked on stewmac and I saw the only single coil pickup rings they have are listed as metal rings. anyone have any experience with these? do they impact the tone of the guitar?

Yes anything that gets bolted to a guitar will change it in some way. But if that change can be picked up by your or my ear is another story.

You want flat bottom rings vs staggered as well.

thanks, do they make plastic single coil rings? I would prefer plastic its a bit easier on the wallet. I can't seem to find anything but metal for those

yeah ebay has plastic one in all the colours of the rainbow. :arms:
