Mhmm I got a Maudio Fast track USB... Now, how to record?

I got it so I didn't have to bring my POD to Amsterdam. It's a nifty unit with a however mediocre modelling program, but eh for practicing, it's alright. Problem is, I'm wondering a couple of things about it which I haven't been able to find out:

Is it possible to set it for a totall neutral sound so I can plug in the POD into it, and from there, record?
And of course, how do I record stuff with backing tracks..? The player allows me to play some songs, but only certain formats, I haven't figured it out yet.

I don't use the program that came with it, but for the POD just plug it into the line in or the mic in and your good to go.

I did that, it's not working. It can't record well with any programs (sounds crap) and I only have the mic line, no line in
