Michael Schenker Jumps Ship To Dean!!!!

Re: Michael Schenker Jumps Ship To Dean!!!!

Schenker has been a huge influence on my playing, along with EVH, the Iron Maiden twins (esp. Dave Murray), Clapton, Bob Mould, Greg Ginn, and most recently, Jay Farrar (yeah, I know that's an odd combo).

My ex got me The Michael Schenker Story CD set a few years ago for Christmas. Absolutely awesome. I highly recomend that, along with Strangers in the Night. The odd thing (or maybe not), is that I owned SITN first, and then went back and bought the studio albums. The studio versions were not nearly as good as the live version!

Schenker is *way* too underrated. The guy has been a huge influence on many guitarists, many of which, in turn, have influenced many of today's guitarists.

It's kinda sad to here what's become of him. Last year, I tried to find his website (which is how I found out about The Michael Schenker Story a few years ago), and it was gone, replaced by the stripped down current web site, featuring some of his bitter mutterings. I guess when things went bad, everything collapsed.
