Does anyone know what bridge humbucker Mick Mars use in the Carnival Of Sins Tour?

They're custom wound by some small pickup maker, I forget the name, but even the specs are a secret.

He explained some guy in Tennessee who usually winds his pickups to 7k winds Micks pickups to 16k- but they remain loud and clear yet overdrive the amp. That's all anyone knows

I imagine J.M.Rolph is small enough he' ll either make you one or maybe promised Mars he wouldnt. Either way, look up the rest of his Carnival rig: i mean, does it really matter? You could slave 4 Mesa full stacks & still not be in Micks league- friggin Aerosmith tells him to turn down! If you put any 14k+ ( or 16k even )Rolph in your Strat, maybe youll like what you get- good luck w the rest, cuz his signal chain is gargantuan.

My personal fave Mick pickup is still the Dimarz SuperDist, (from the TooFast era Les) but its not rude enough on its own. His early Marshalls have a secret mod. And his approach is singular & recognizable on every rig.

IMO you can get close to a Mick Mars tone with a Soldano voiced amp- I managed to with a Line 6 on the Soldano SLO setting and an EB/MM Axis- tuning down a step to D makes a big difference
