IMO you can get close to a Mick Mars tone with a Soldano voiced amp- I managed to with a Line 6 on the Soldano SLO setting and an EB/MM Axis- tuning down a step to D makes a big difference

Yup. Heck, use a JB even through an amp voiced like that. Works great with my Baretta.

He's not a flash crazy speed player, but what he does do works for the song. He's got riffs that kill.
