According to EMG's site, the EXG, SPC, and other accessories work with passives without needing a PA-2. :D

and also agree with being a cool product. its great to see people that use those small "mess around for fun" projects to help others achieve their tone (and also make some money without abusing of course-)

Very true. In fact, I'm one who has lambasted the Fulltone Fatboost on several occasions because its $4 - $10 worth of parts, (not counting the case), that they sell for $180. ;)
