Migrating back to Seth Lover Bridge in LP

Stevo

Tonus Maximus Pacificas
After many pickup swaps in my Les Paul bridge, I still favor the Seth Lover. It does not have the most punch and maybe it's not the best for metal, but I think it's really a great pickup for a classic rock tone, when you actually want to hear the guitar, without a boat load of distortion and bass :32:

My latest pickup purchase was the a2pro bridge. It has a little bright edge that does not totally work for me with this particular setup. It's definitely a nice pickup but I still like the Seth Lover a bit more :) The SL has a great midrange honk with a smooth top end :)

Love mine, too. I have a Seth set in a Gibson ES-137 Classic. I'm still waiting for a set of Ants on order for my LP Classic, and I'm still debating about what to put in my LP Studio, but my ES-137 is set with Seths.

You gotta love those Seths (no pun intended). They're some great sounding pups.

Yup....I love the Seth in my 57' RI now that it does not squeel. It has a really nice balance. My 57' has a warmer overall tone, so the Seth is especially smooth there. My other Lester I wanted to be more of a Rock/Hard Rock guitar, but the C5 was way too hot and bright for it. I put a 59'(n) in the bridge, and it sounds wonderful. Not quite as bright and bassy as a 59'(b). Paired with an APH neck (since this guitar is bright) it's the best of both worlds.

That sounds like a great setup :) Lots of character and mojo.

Yeah, it really came alive with the Seths in place -- serves all of my semi-hollow body needs with flourish.
