mini buckers and p90s

are the two easily interchangable? or would one routing pocket not fit the other. i have a tele body that is routed for p90s and i want to know if i can put mini-buckers in there.

Mini Hums will fit in P90 routes. p90's will not necessarily fit in Mini hum routes.
You will need a new pickguard to mount the Mini Hums or you will need to screw them directly into the wood (which leaves the mounting tabs visible).

They're interchangeable in a Les Paul because of the P90-sized mount the mini's come with, which are basically a P90 cover with the top pushed in. In a Tele, the Rat is right because it wouldn't come with the Les Paul mount so the rout under the pickguard might be smaller if the mini was stock on the Tele.

But you can always order a pickguard from LewGuitar or Warmoth or somebody that's cut for a P90 and have the body routed for it if necessary.

i made the body myself so i can fix any routing changes that have to be made. im not using a pickguard on it so i will find different mounting rings i guess.

sorry guys, i just didnt want to have to look up specs of minibucker size and then go measure the routing holes i made, was being lazy and hoping someone here knew off hand.

when i made it i was digging the idea of p90s but now im leaning towards the seymourized mini in the neck and i dont know what in the bridge. its a 72 thinline semi-hollow model with alder back and sides if you wanna throw your hat in the ring for what i should drop in it. im thinking maple/maple neck

PHAT CAT!! I've wanted to put a Phat Cat in my Tele for awhile, but I wont until I get a Lite Ash Tele with a Vintage '54 pup.
