Mixing tip of the century (sneap content)

One of the coolest quotes I've ever read from an audio engineer:

"a mix is a performance in a way, you'd never mix something the same a month later from a fresh start so I dont dwell on past things."

-Andy Sneap

Yeah, after listening his Sabbat days, I am sure he wouldn't mix the same way.....EVER! :chairfall

hahaha - my buddy used to listen to them, but they were too D&D-ish for me! I've been wanting to check them out though.

mixing a great band live can be almost as much fun as playing the show on stage

Stolen from the Sneap forum itself?
I swear I remember seeing that posted on the forum.
I'm a goddamn Sneap forum addict :laugh2:

Hahaha this was definitely from the recent productions/mixes thread over there.

Every once in a while Sneap drops back in with some nuggets of goodness for us, otherwise we have to use the search function. :(

Read as: "I wasn't very good then but I'm better now." :) I can think of a lot of records mixed in their day that hold up today in every aspect.

Actually, the context of the quote was people asking him if he ever went back and looked at older mixes/projects and analyzed his work.
