Has anyone had any experienced with this guitar or mockingbirds in general. I've set my sights on one once i get the cash and i want to know your opionions on them.

Re: Mockingbird SL

a friend of mine (MrHm) has one. I borrowed his for a couple weeks before. What exactly do you want to know about them?

Re: Mockingbird SL

I guess i want to know what the feel is from them. They remind of an explorer type shape. Is it easy to play, size of neck, sound ect...

Well....seeing as how your name is GnR_Guy, I'd get a Les Paul instead, unless you have one already. Anyways, they're beautiful guitars. They play great for the type they are. The neck is somewhat of the thicker Les Paul style. They have an ebony fingerboard if I'm not mistaken. As far as sound goes, they're rather heavy sounding. They have a Duncan Distortion/59 combo in them as far as I recall. It's a very "Un Slashlike" guitar IMO. They have 24 frets and a Floyd Rose as well. Don't get me wrong as they are a superb instrument, but if you're looking for something to do the Slash thing......get a Les Paul.

Re: Mockingbird SL

A mocking bird is something i DEFINITELY get!
after i get a les paul classic and a soloist SL2-H

They come in neck through if i'm not mistaken... (that would be amazing)
I'd prolly go with a midnight blue, maple top, mahogany back and a floyd rose tremolo.

Re: Mockingbird SL

Yeah i already have a paul but im not going straight towards the slash sound. I have emgs in my paul, so much for slash sound, I've heard that it is a different sounding guitar for a slash signature model so it peaked my curiosity. Thanks for the input i appreciate it.

That's cool.....it's a damn good guitar....that pretty much sums it up. I'm not a 24 fret nor a Floyd Rose kinda guy, but I'd take one in a heartbeat.

Re: Mockingbird SL

I love BC Rich guitars, I really do. I wish more companies would make unique guitar shapes instead of just copying Gibson and Fender models...

Re: Mockingbird SL

I played a Mockingbird about 15 years ago. Nice guitar, but I could never get over that upper horn poking me in the ribs.

Re: Mockingbird SL

Yeah thats what im worried about. I don't have any bc rich dealers close by to test one out and get a feel for em. Thats why any input is appreciated

Re: Mockingbird SL

Ive had a sudden interest in those 'ice' series ones or what ever theyre called, clear acrylic warlock or mockingbird, they look sooo cool! :offtopic:
