Modded TS9

like i mentioned, Im after a tubescreamer because I really dig that sound SRV gets with his. From what I read here, a (properly) Modded TS9 will sound closer to this than the current model TS9. I also dig the tones Mike McReady and Kirk Hammet get when they step on theres.

I would be using a stock Hwy 1 Strat, into a Marshall TSL60 head (awesome cleans) into 1936 twin cabinet.

I thought i would get the modded TS9 to start of with because it is the same price as a stock one. I dont really want to go through the hassle of buying one, not being 100% happy with it, then having to send it over to the states to have it modded, when I could have it done to start off with.

So this pedal above, does not have the mods that would make it like an early SRV Tubescreamer?

I looked at the Keeley and analogman pedals, but i think they are going to be a lot more expensive with exchange rates Etc etc

Im getting confused now with all these different mods that can be done. They should name one the SRV mod!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for your input.

I Like not having to deal with customs forms and double wrapping stuff to send out of the US,but I have done it....Contact me if you like and we'll go from there? I Much prefer to keep the mods these days within the states so I don't have to hassle too much and waiting in line at the post offices...

Re: Modded TS9

Thanks for the offer Stratdeluxer, but it does sound like a hassle, if you reckon that the modded TS9 i posted the link to isn't what a modded tubescreamer should be, I may as well just go the stock one here in Oz.

Thanks again for your input
