Modding a Valvetronix?

I'm thinking about getting the 15 watt model for practicing at home, but I wanna plug it to an external cab. Is it possible having a speaker out installed?
Also, will there be a tonal difference between the 15 and the 50 models due to different transformers?

Why not spring the extra $100 for the 50-watt model? You can still use it for practicing at home -- the power knob lets you crank it down to as low as one watt, something you can't do with the AD15VT -- and it's got an external speaker output already built in.

For the price of the modification, you may be better off with the AD50VT.

Well, because it's bigger and I won't use the internal speaker anyway so I don't need it taking so much space. I thought about doing the mod myself if it's not too complicated, and even if i'd need to pay a tech to do it I doubt it'll cost as much as 100$.
