Modification Ideas for an Epiphone Thunderhorse

Hello all I'm looking for some input from everybody on making a custom paintjob for my Epiphone Thunderhorse and where I can go to get it done. I understand it's a custom guitar already, I bought it originally because I was planning on doing a custom silver burst explorer in the first place, and this saved money and time and gifted me with the best guitar I've ever played. But now I am looking to make it my own. Customize it to make it MY guitar now. I'm a huge fan of movies as well and was looking to incorporate Godzilla into this guitar, seeing as my favorite movie of all time is 1954's Gojira. I grew up with Godzilla movies, and I would like to put him on my guitar in honor of my childhood and my love of cinema. I will provide a few images for you guys to take a look at and make suggestions off of. Just a few rules on the ideas, I want to keep the binding and underbody completely original, along with the neck, so no suggestions of a full body overhaul please.P_Thunderhorse1-a76d33eab958ab38dd56b3b3c1d7616f.jpg godzilla_wallpaper_6_by_spitfire666xxxxx-d31h42s.jpggojira-usa-jpg.jpglegendary-godzilla-2014.jpg
Here are the images I chose, I'd love to hear what everyone thinks.

Meh, I tend to hate guitars with graphics. That said, you should do what suits you. The guitar is a paintbrush and a canvas both.

This is just me, but the Silverburst is gorgeous. I'd leave it alone.
Buy another guitar in black and add the graphics to it. ;)

Its only an Epiphone. Mod away! I think the last pic evokes Godzilla more than the other two. Id get black open coil buckers, the chromes don't go with that motif.
One thing..don't those Epi's have really thick plasticy Polyurethane finishes? Waht are ya gonna do... decals?

I respect your opinion and appreciate you for not being an aggressive jerk to someone with a different opinion than you like other forum browsers I've run into. Not on these forums of course, these forums are awesome lol

This guitar just has a gloss finish. I don't know how thick that would be. On a side note a definitely agree with you about the last picture, I think I'll do that one. I'll probably have the people doing the work grayscale it and make it look like an old movie, that way it fits right in with the rest of the guitar and still looks badass.

i used to find air brush designers and so forth on classified sites but always try to see their work prior to throwing cash at them.

in all honesty though this isn't hard at all. I'd strip the paint/finish off , print off the design on a printer or something and than just clearcoat. It's way easier than we think. This guitar for example has a fake flamed maple top to it, looks beautiful yet no contrast in the shapes , so same process. If you've never worked with polyurethane before there is a ton of videos online. Brush on over spray on polyurethane and make sure you got a good car polisher and wait for the polyurethane to cure (harden) this is important. The thinner the better in terms of tone. Just remember to wear a gas mask or go somewhere well ventelated to work with wood finish that you can put the guitar body down for more than a night to ensure you get the best possible results.

Find, or order a poster large enough to cover the body (but I personally wouldn't on that beauty) and glue it on top, then clearcoat.
