I went to Vintage on Sunset and played the Scorpion - HOLY MOTHER OF *** what a machine.
I found the price a little high, but the amp sounds amazing! Very spongy and and thickj, while being brown, tigh enough, and tons of gain. The internal jump is nice and the Power dampening allowed this thing to be cranked at reasonable volumes.
Sounds best with the matching G12H30 cabs (I used a 2x12). I had tried these before, but this one had the power dampening so I really got to hear the gain for once! Can't buy these without that feature.
Complaints? ummm I like a clean channel, and I really would LOVE to hear this thing with an FX loop. It only has a line out a la hot plate.
