i sent a e-mail to my guitar teacher and he said this

"As far as amp, yes, you are ready for 20 to 50 watt amp which will average
around $300-700 depending on how far you want to go.LIne Six or Peavey are
great Amps as well as Fender Amps."

so im good to find a amp in these price and watt ranges any, of you have ideas??

Considering this might be your last amp for a while, I'd listen to Gearjoneser. I think he's dead on about a modeling amp.

Those Vox's are sweet and they'll give you a TON of different tones to last you a long time. Something to think about.

So, who's paying for it? You chipping in? Or is Mom buying it for you? I"m a tough parent.

Re: Mom convinced about more power full amp

Fender has a terrific line of practice amps ranging from 15 watts to 65 watts. They are truly underpriced and underestimated amps. I have a 15 watt and on the clean channel I rarly ever have the volume past 3. They are loud little things. And they are inexpensive too. You are getting more than you paid for with these. Trust me.

Yes, but it's got a master volume for bedroom levels. But the power's there when needed, and none of us can resist cranking it once in a while when no one's home!

Congrats on using your own money. You'll appreciate it more in the long run.

Re: Mom convinced about more power full amp

i wish i could get a job at 14. lol. i had a tough enough time getting into the princeton review, and i couldn't stand typing all day long. well it bought me a 63 bandmaster, a 50th ann deluxe strat, and ant II surfers, and my parents can't threaten taking it away for any reason since i paid for it all. (Even though they can by law, but they're not that bad)

What gets on my nerve is bandmates who have to mooch off your gear all the time and dont want to get jobs...

You get a good sense of pride. I'm gonna keep my stuff until im old and grey, hopefully you will too.

Re: Mom convinced about more power full amp

Hey man, Gearjoneser is not steering you wrong. The vox valvetronix amps are really nice and can get a great variety of sounds. They can be plenty loud but you can get good sounds at low volume as well. Good Luck.
