I'm still Jonesing for a Purple/Green zebra color option...
Any chance that'll ever happen? It would be so great if you had more colors.
Thanks!

Re: More colors please!

you have to call on that. i know they have green but in mot sure about purple. its probably gonna cost more, but not as much as a custom shop pup

Re: More colors please!

Months ago, I suggested using earthtone colors, since they would enhance the look of many guitars with nice tops. Burnt Sienna Orange, gray, navy blue and dark green were my ideas. Seems like they'd go over better than bright dayglow colors....yeesh!

Really?? They might have it?? I've been waiting for them to use purple for a long time. Even DiCrapzio uses purple. I'm eventually going to build a Vinnie Vincent "Shadow" and I'm going to use Violet and Slime green. I'd hate to have to buy DiCrapzio's and have to rewind them...

Honestly, I think that's an excellent idea. Right now the only real options for guitars with bursts and translucents are black or creme. I could honestly think of a use for all those colours you suggested.

On the otherhand, whenever I see those dayglow green pickups, I think to my self, "who the f*ck would stick that in their axe!?".....

...Of course, the next day I walked into the music store and found some kid with one of those Dimebag star things.....

Re: More colors please!

How'bout some seafoam green bobbins. :)

Re: More colors please!

Don't get me wrong DiMarzio's have their place...
I just don't prefer them.

Now... If I can only get EMG to actually ship something in less than a month...

Re: More colors please!

+1 for Gearjoneser's idea with the Earthtones. It would be nice to get a few different shades of say brown to match different wood tops.

Another idea might be faux wood colors, but I think that might turn out tacky more than beautiful. But if they can make photo tops on guitars look good I can't see how that idea for a pickup could go wrong either.

On a side note I bought a used Dimarzio off Ebay and it has a wine red color with a faux wood grain to it that actually looks nice. Any idea what this was an OEM for?
