More Les (nothing new, just dialed in.)

Im VERY VERY excited! Ive got 3 of my girls dialed in. Im very picky and cant seem to get satisfied with anything, but I have these set and Im happy.
The Trad pro was good as is, but I put in Pearly gates set. (should be called Pearly Greats!) Anyhow, Im used to hotter, more in your face pickups, so it took me alittle while to warm up to them. But now I LOVE them! Very musical and expressive. She weighs about 9 1/2 lbs per a normal bathroom scale

The 60s Tribute was VERY stiff feeling and didnt play well when I first got her. Set it up and got the pups dialed in (took alot of work to get the pups right and the string volume balanced.)and it sounded alot better. But, man it was so stiff. I restring with D'addario .10s and now it plays like butter and is such a light guitar, it feels good on my bad back.. 7lbs

1980s Burny. This thing is one of the best playing LPs Ive ever laid my mitts on. (interesting tidbit. Duff McKagan said that Burnys are the best LPs he's ever played too. FWIW) When I got it, it was set up so nice, but had an EMG Zakk set in it. I swapped pups and it now has a Bare Knuckles Rebel Yell set. They are EXTREMELY height sensitive and IMO, sound horrible until they are dialed in. These pups have given me fits and I almost pulled them because I was so tired of fiddling with them. The guitar kept sounding like it was out of tune. Anyhow, I gave it alil more and seem to have nailed it. NOW she's ripping too! Only bummer now is that I need to replace the toggle switch as it cuts out when going to the neck pup.
But she is 11 lbs of sweet sustain...

I think getting them dialed in is almost as exciting as getting a new guitar, so I just wanted to share my excitement.

Since I know how you lust mongers are about pron, here are the required photos... Ya pervs.... hahahaha

I've been fantasizing about buying my first lp, but will never have more than $1000 to spend in this decade, the 60's tribute is right at the top of the list!

yeah, they are nice!! I hear you.. I used to have a good paying part time job waiting tables, but when the economy tanked and I had my last back surgery, I lost that. I bought the burny ( and most of my axes) during that time. The only way I was able to get the other LPs is to finance.

Be-Yu-Ti-Ful.

thanks

Congrats man, yeah, it is a thing of beauty to finally dial in those guitars that you love and want to love playing/listening, especially when it's been eluding you for a while now.

So, again, congrats and, let 'em rip!!! :headbang:!!!
