I have a new Wampler Triple Wreck Distortion. When I turn the Gain knob past 3:00-5:00, there is a loud whine sound. If I turn down the treble knob, or turn the Gain knob back past 3:00, the sound goes away. I am unsure why this is happening? Is there perhaps a cold solder? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

Have you eliminated all other variables? (Guitar, cables, amp, etc)

That's pretty common in some high gain pedals, especially with the treble up. It's frequency oscillation.
