Hey guys sorry to keep asking but i got a few more ideas that i wanna try and i wanna find out first.
gibson les paul,3way,HH,2vol,2tone,2pushpulls (you know the standard)
alnico ii pro B and N
trying new things.
so im not a big fan of the middle position on the pickup swtich so i never go into the middle position, i do like the out of phase tone alot better for funky and strat like tones, so i figured i would like to wire my guitar so that the neck pickup is ALWAYS out of phase with the bridge,
#1
I know that to do that i would have to hard wire the neck pickup with the green to hot and black to ground, now my first question is:
With the neck pickup wired that way would i get the same exact neck pickup sound when only the neck pickup is selected?
I would only get out of phase sound when both are selected right? which is what i wanna go for.
#2
I would also like to do the coil splitting for the humbuckers, but i think things change a bit because the neck pickup is wired out of phase now.
so i wanna use the SLUG coil on the bridge and the Screw coil on the neck so when i select the middle position on the pickup selector and they are split i get a humbucker in parallel.
so what would be the right way to wire the neck pick up?
THANKS!!!
PS i'm rewiring all my guitars but i only want things usefull rather than 4 push pulls to give me a bunch of sounds i wont use, i rather even 1 push pull with a sound i will use you know?
